Last month I had the pleasure of trying out spring skiing at the gorgeous luxury resort of Kitzbühel in the Tyrol region of Austria.
I didn’t realise beforehand that this area has some of the longest ski seasons in the world, meaning you ski right up until April.
The snow is different, but as it was off-peak the runs and lifts were quiet which was ideal as I’m still a total beginner at learning to ski.
We had a fantastic few days of winter adventure including skiing, snow-shoeing, and of course, apres ski.
The Kitzbühel town is a beautiful destination for both summer and winter holidays. It’s a higher-end location with some lovely hotels and restaurants.
Plus, it’s great to have some of that fresh air.
Above is a video (or watch on YouTube here) capturing the essence of the trip. Hope you like it!
Kitzbühel is accessible from several airports such as Innsbruck and Munich. It’s a few hours drive from several big cities and has great train routes stopping at the station.
